After dinner stroll to Saint Mark's Basilica at Saint Mark's Square |

Waiting for our Flixbus at Rovinj bus station. Our bus departs Rovinj at 12.45 pm and arrives in Venice at 5.25 pm with a Euro 14.99 fare per passenger. |
 |
Each passenger is allowed 1 hand luggage at 7 kg and 1 hold luggage at 20kg |
 |
One more shot for the road. The bus station comes with a reasonably priced cafe. A coffee at Euro1.50 and a free use of the toilet! |
 |
On the bus. Even though we were guaranteed seats on the bus, our seat numbers were duplicated several times. Hence, few of us had to change seats a few times. |
 |
At one of the stops before Venice. It was fun to return to Trieste too! |

Following the bike route, it took us mainly through industrial areas, running parallel to the train tracks. However, things got tricky at Venezia Porto Maghera. There were major works on the tracks and we were to cross the line via an underpass! |
 |
It was a lot of work finding the underpass and bringing our bikes down, crossing over and back up the stairs again! |

At the other end of the underpass |

After the underpass, we followed this route |

Via della Liberta just before the bridge |
 |
Happiness is when we were finally on Ponte della Liberta which is part of Route SR11, leading into Venice itself! |

Riding towards Venice |

Midway stop |

Approaching Venice! |
 |
Almost there! |

Tronchetto, an artificial island at sunset. Built in the 1960's, it was mainly used as a parking area as Venice is car free, |

Constitution Bridge.
Technically, you are allowed to push your bike from the Constitution Bridge, past Venice's Santa Lucia Train Station and up to the Scalzi Bridge, a total distance of 500m. However, because of a signage at the front of the bridge, we panicked and began packing our bikes. |

Photos downloaded from the internet based on memory of the room. Hotel and furniture are old but our room was very large for a triple stay.
