Window shopping at Cost.U.Less @ Grosvenor's Square, just before lunch. Was surprised keropok kulit is sold here! |
Another surprise before we stop for lunch at Seven Mile's Burger |
Look at the country of origin printed here! |
The sea is always calm, no matter the time of the day! |
Seven Mile Beach with Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman in the background |
Long line of resorts lined the Seven Mile Beach |
Many countries were just reopening their borders with USA taking the lead in November 2021. Noticeably, the beach was quite bare with not many tourists. |
View of the beach |
Light showers and visible rain clouds |
Rewarded with a rainbow sighting at 6 pm |
7.30 pm, dinner at Ragazzi Pizza and Italian Restaurant |

About to embark on our snorkeling adventure @ Kitiwake Sunken Ship Snorkel (9am to 12 pm) |
Spirit of the Islands, our privately chartered 65 foot, luxury catamaran, operated by Red Sails Sports |
The yacht is mostly anchored around the waters of Seven Mile Beach where Grand Cayman's top hotels are located. |
Complimentary snacks... |
...and drinks! |
In case one needs to relieve oneself...or throw up in private! |
Alex and Janet paying full attention with boss leaning back against the port. |
Here we go! |
Having a good time |
Can you spot the "Dory" fishes in the sea. There are at least 3! |
All ready but it took us awhile to take the plunge! |
Took a quick plunge to see Kitiwake, the sunken ship and quickly returned to the boat! |
After bobbing in the sea for awhile which gave everyone enough time to dive below the waters to see the sunken ship, the sail was opened and we let the winds take us to our next destination. |
Out from the waters with a towel and drinks |
Not long after this photo of merriment, Alvin threw up into the sea! |
2nd anchor time for more snorkeling. Can you spot the fishes feeding on the cheetos? |
Returned to shore and this was part of our lunch. |
Very good dinner at LUCA at 7 pm |
All ready for the Dolphin Discovery and Turtle Farm Tour (9 am to 12 pm) |
King Long, a bus manufactured in China |
That's us! |
The Dolphin Centre is located at West Bay |
Naturally, the visitor center comes with a souvenir shop |
The same type of towels used on our yacht is used at the Dolphin Center! |
The pools |
The hatchlings |
After lunch, we met up with the APAC team for dessert at Llyod's Smokehouse. This is a funny dessert made out of cream, caramel and bacon bits! |
It ain't called a smokehouse if it ain't got these! |
More gifts when we returned to the room! |
President's Club Award Dinner @ 6pm to 10 pm, beginning with cocktail at reception at 6 pm, followed by dinner buffet at 7 pm and dancing till 10 pm! |
All the award recipients |

As our flight to London was scheduled at 6.05 pm, we had enough time to explore Camana Bay in the morning. At 10 am, Market St, Camana Bay @ https://maps.app.goo.gl/BeboMmAnEYe8EskE9 |
The waterfront with Minerva Dr's bridge leading to Breakwater Avenue, a new development on an islet opposite the bay. |
The bay is protected by mangrove islets |
Cosy cafe by the bay |
Cayman Ferries connects you to Rum Point and Kaibo Beach but at RM120 per pax for a return trip, it was not within our budget or time frame. |
Observation Tower |
Some information |
Mosaic art |
View from the tower. Far in the horizon is the sea and the other side of the bay. In the middle is the sea passage between the mangrove islets with Breakwater Avenue on the right. |
The tallest building is Residences at Kapok which is still under construction |
The stairs to the top of the tower |
Back to Luca at 11.30 am for brunch |
Postcard perfect view from Luca |
Time to leave Cayman with a heavy heart @ 3.30 pm |
Cayman has been magical but it is time to leave for our next adventure! |
