Touring CSI (6 April - 23 April 2023), Day 15 - Vicenza to Venice via Treviso

The weather was bleak but the ride has to go on. Outside our hostel which used to be a public bath house, hence the high windows for the rooms downstairs.

Right after lunch, the cycle route runs mainly through tree lined paths

Treviso Ostiglia Cycle Path is an 85 km route that connects Cologna Veneta to Treviso, passing by the provinces of Vicenza, Padua and Treviso. The cycle path mainly follows the old railway line of the same name @ https://maps.app.goo.gl/Q87eMcer1CGafvar6

As mentioned, it passes through the Province of Padua

The path cuts through many local roads and townships

Porta Santi Quaranta is one of the 3 gates within the city walls of Treviso. Built in the 16th century, it was meant for defense.

Treviso train station, waiting for our train back to Venice.

After our tea break, we decided to take the train back to Venice even though it was less than 30 km back to Hotel Mary. This was to avoid after work rush hour traffic, more rain and allow more time to see the city.
