| The distance from our hotel to the terminal was a short 2.8 km hence we rode our bikes there before packing them away. |

| The van transfer was THB250 per passenger. We had to pay an additional THB100 per bicycle which we gladly paid as it was not easy for the driver to hitch it up to the roof of the van |

| There are 3 bus terminals in Chiang Mai. Prempracha vans stops at Terminal 2. Across the road is Greenbus which is located at Terminal 3. Terminal 1 is an intracity terminal, located near to the old city walls |

| Greenbus drivers are smartly dressed in pilot uniform. They help passengers with their luggage and are always polite |

| Our bikes and bags in the trunk of the bus. Bus fare was THB196 per passenger. The bus left Chiang Mai promptly at 2 pm but only arrived in Chiang Rai at 6.45 pm, 1 hour late due to roadworks along the way! |
