AUD 1.79 for 1.25 ml
AUD 4.10 for 2 L

The boys were the happiest today as it was a rest day. They would have been perfectly happy to rot in the holiday home had we not pulled them out to scour the streets. As for VT and Claudine, rest days equaled restlessness.

Margaret River town was disappointingly small with one main street where most businesses congregated. As part of the Bussell Highway, traffic was surprisingly low past rush hour. A side street leads to Coles while Woolsworth was tucked away on a knoll, on the opposite side of the Highway.

A small post office, opposite Woolsworth serves the town folks. That was where we got our postcards posted to ourselves!

Shopping at Target, Claudine bought a cheap set of bikini. Her friend will tell her later that the top reminded her of the alien from the Ben 10 cartoon series!

Brumby's Bakery was enjoying brisk business and spotting a vanilla slice. We had a go at it but did not finish it....nope, it wasn't the way Alvin had described it!

At the end of the street, a shop selling hammocks and Balinese trinkets roused our interests. However, we only window shopped before checking out the park beside it.

Food court next to the book shop

Then, we crossed the road to start our recce for lunch, chancing upon a second hand bookstore. With nothing
else to do, we spent a long time inside, getting cheap thrills from old reads. Finally, Ryan settled for some old comic books to add to his collection which added on to our weights!

Ripcurl was having a sales but as the trends were not as up to date in Margaret River, we bought nothing. Besides, our poor currency exchange made everything  so expensive.

Starting to feel hungry, we crossed the road and found Squid Lips, just next to IGA. Ryan had pointed out their branch outlet at Dunsborough and with a discount voucher from our sales receipts we decided to sit down and give it a try. The fish and chips were good but what got us going back for a second round was the fried squid!!! They were really crispy and tasty!!!

As there wasn't much to do in Margaret River, we returned for an afternoon siesta and a lazy time before starting dinner again. This time, wanting to finish the our our supply of sausages, we cooked a bolognaise sauce with the meat squeezed out! By Day 6, almost every meal must be served with chocolate milk and white mushrooms!!!
