This morning, Frank came over to Gillon St to pick VT and Claudine up. Together, they circled Waterford Plaza for breakfast and finally settled down at McDonald's for breakfast. It was such a treat for Frank to buy them breakfast and an even bigger treat when he decided, at the spur of the moment to escort them to Fremantle!

Riding out, Claudine was curious with the piles of old furnitures that were eating onto the foot paths. As explained by Frank, it was recycling day and households were getting rid of unwanted items in the house!

Taking the river route to Fremantle, they paid a visit to Claudine's favourite public toilet at Tompkins Park. It was still talking and in considerable good conditions since her last visit in December 2016!

At Bicton Quarrantine Park, they avoided the greens, turning left onto Braunton Street instead. Immediately, a more than 10% grade hill climb greeted them. Thankfully, it was nothing more than 150 m before tapering off to a flat, followed by a gradual slide to the junction...

The men were chatting, Claudine was delirious. When they braked, she jammed hers as well, tipping her tail off the ground! Luckily, she managed to regain her balance but not before the top tube hit her crotch hard and the right pedals came into contact with her big toe, leaving a bruise for days!

Circling the perimeters of the park, they returned to take a toilet break at Bicton Baths. It was a welcomed break for Claudine; relieved for the chance to rub her sore toe!

They met up with KC Tay and gang as planned at Fremantle. The group were returning from Munda Biddi Trail and had agreed to meet for lunch by the waterfront. Sweet Lips was closed for renovations hence Kaili's became their rendezvous.

After lunch, they stopped by the old Fremantle Markets for Claudine to pick up some face creams for Zoe. As she was crossing the street, she heard a familiar voice calling out her name. Turning towards the source, she was surprised to see Yow! He had played tour guide to Fadhil and Munira within a day to his son's wedding! Promising to meet the family the next day, Claudine and VT returned to Perth with their cycling buddies, parting ways at Canning Highway.

Arriving at LTF Headquarters, they couldn't gain entry into the house because Satomi had left her key in the key hole. As a result, VT was unable to insert the key fully from his end, hence unable to turn the lock. No amount of yelling and phone calls could alert her.

Finally, they gave up and decided to pick up some groceries from Waterford Plaza. When they were faced with the same predicament 40 minutes later, they had no choice but break into the house.

Giving Claudine a leg up, VT boost her up the high wall. Using her upper body strength, she managed to prop herself to a sitting position at the top. Then came the challenge of jumping down and avoiding injuries. Luckily, she landed like a cat!

Coincidentally, Satomi was just coming out of her room and doing some dishes when Claudine appeared at the side garden calling out to her. She had no idea what was happening until Claudine asked her to let her in through the sliding door that opens up to the back garden.

That evening, VT and Claudine met another couple of old cycling buddies for dinner. Barbara and Colin from their 321 Adventures in 2016 came to pick them up as arranged. It was good to catch up on old times over Chinese dinner at Joy Garden, followed by cakes and coffee at their beautiful home.
